Acrylic Painting
March 3,10,17 and 24 6- 8pm At the River Arts Center, Morrisville, VT
Adults ages 16 & up
This workshop is tailored for beginning painters and will focus on landscape, seascape, and architectural motifs. The main mission is to be comfortable, relaxed and have some fun creating paintings.  Basic composition, design and color theory with be covered throughout the sessions. Different techniques using brushes and palette knives will be demonstrated along with the many different substrates to paint on.  Some drawing skills and color knowledge is helpful, but not required.

Faux Painting / Stage Decoration 101
July 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5 & 12 6:00-8:30pm At the Helen Day Art Center, Stowe, VT
Adults ages 16 & up
This workshop is conceived from the combination of techniques I have come to use on signs and various theatrical productions. This is a beginner class on how to do techniques such as faux wood graining, stone, brick, marbling, stucco and foliage motifs. These techniques can be applied towards home use or stage decorating. Some drawing skills and color knowledge helpful but not required. To illustrate what will be covered, sketches, thumbnails, to final painting will be presented.
