About The Artist
|Rick is native to Bethel CT. and has called Northern Vermont home since 1975. He has received a B.A. in Art from Johnson State College, Johnson VT. with studies in Fine Art at Silvermine College of Art, New Canaan, CT and NCC College, Winsted, CT. He also studied painting hosted by artist, Stan Marc Wright, Stowe, VT for 7+ years.
Rick's award winning paintings have been exhibited in various businesses, art shows and galleries. He has been a member of The New Haven Paint and Clay Club, New Haven CT and The Northern Vt. Artists Assoc.
A passion of his is set designing for local community theater, designing over thirty shows beginning in 1989. He has worn many hats with The Lamoille County Players, Hyde Park, VT., as Set Designer, Actor Director and served on the Board of Directors. He has designed sets for The Stowe Theater Guild, Stowe, VT , Lyric Theater, Burlington, VT. and the professional theater group, Waterbury Festival Playhouse, Waterbury, VT.
He has worked as a sign designer / fabricator for Stowe Sign Co.,Stowe VT., instructor of carving, sculpting, and hand painting for VT Sign School. Majority of the signs have been custom, dimensional that may include a pictorial of some kind. Rick has painted many a pictorial; landscapes, architectural, animals of all kind, etc. The scenes to be painted might be supplied by the client or developed in house. Rick has been in the sign business since 1978.
Rick offers fine art, decorative painting and artistic services for residential and commercial use.
